Enjoy the 5th day in Campos do Jordão, with an eye towards environmental preservation.
Campos do Jordão State Park (Parque Estadual Campos do Jordão): known regionally as Forest Garden (Horto Florestal), was inaugurated in 1941. It currently occupies a third of Campos do Jordão, with over 186 species of birds and animals threatened with extinction, such as the puma, the ocelot and the puple-breasted parrot, and is made up of the remnants of Atlantic Forest. It is one of the 29 parks in the State of São Paulo intended for the preservation of nature and was the first Conservation Unit to be implemented in the State. The park has 5 trails with various levels of difficulty (the Waterfall Trail, the Four Bridges Trail, the Sapucaí River Trail, the Celestina Trail and the Campos Trail), tree climbing, zip line, bike rental, picnic spot, barbecue rental, restaurant and craft shop. The entry of domistic animlas, the use of drones, and collection of seeds and plants are not allowed. The Forest Garden is open every day from 8:30am to 5pm. For more information, visit the website.
